Very-late task

Working Children

In many countries, especially developed countries, children engaged in child labor. The International Labor Organization (ILO) has estimated that 218 million children between the ages of five and seventeen work in developing countries. The vast majority,, over 80 percent, are working in agriculture and factory. Child agricultural and industrial workers frequently work for long hours in heat, haul heavy loads of produce, are exposed to toxic materials, and suffer high rates of injury from sharp knives and other dangerous tools. Their work is grueling and harsh, violating their rights to health, education, and protection from work that is hazardous or exploitative. People saw that healthy children had plenty of energy could do much to help their work. They thought that children learned new skills when they worked. In these ways, work can be good. But it is not good when it stops children from growing into strong, happy adults. Children need to play. They need to get enough sleep. They need to eat well. They need school.

In my opinion, children shouldn’t work and engaged as worker. They need their ‘time’ as children, play, school, and other ‘children’ things. Don’t push them into working ‘area’, because they do really need their time to grow.

Sewage Disposal

Sewage disposal unit consists of three steps process. The process begins in settling tank, the polluted waters flows to it from the main sewer. There, the undecayed solids contained in the polluted water are left in the bottom of the tank and then removed and burned. After that, the water is distributed to the pump house. The pump house pumps the polluted water to the third step of the process which is the sprinkler bed. The sprinkler bed is a filter to stones and microorganisms which consists of brick and rotating arms. So this process can make water less polluted by removing organic material in the polluted water or we can call it purifying the water. Then, the purified water distribute back to the river through pipe.

Distribution of the water in the house isn’t as complicated as we thought. Its an easy process. First, the water pump pumps cold water through the pipe from the underground. Cold water then distributed to cold water tank, while some of them is distributed directly to the house water outlets in the bathroom such as bath-tub, wash basin, toilet, and sink in the kitchen. The water in the cold water tank then transferred to hot water tank, to be heated. Then the heated water distributed through pipes to water outlets like bath-tub, sink, and wash basin.

Water Process

Water Process in House

Cold water was supplied from main pipe in the basement of the house and pumped to several pipes connected to the water outlets. The water outlets are sink at the first floor, bath-tub, wash basin and toilet's flush in the bathroom at the second floor, and also the cold water tank at the rooftop. From the cold water tank, the water is transferred to the hot water tank to be heated. Then the hot water is distributed to sink at the first floor and also bath-tub and wash basin in the bathroom at the second floor.

Basically, Sewage Disposal Unit works simply. First, polluted water flows through main sewer to settling tank. In the settling tank, the undecayed solid is separated from the polluted water and stays on the bottom of the tank. Next, it will be removed and get burned outside. Meanwhile, the liquid or polluted water is flowing to the pump house. The pump house then pumps the polluted water to the sprinkler bed. In the sprinkler beds, the polluted water is cleaned by the brick work and rotating arms mechanism. Stones and micro-organisms are filtered in this process. Finally, the purified water is ready to be flown back to the river.

Sewage Disposal Unit

A sewage disposal unit doesn’t work in a complicated way. First, sewage from main sewer is flown to settling tank through the main sewer. In the settling tank, the sewage is separated into two forms, the solid forms which called the undecayed solids waste and the liquid forms which called polluted water. The undecayed solids waste, which stays in the bottom of the tank, are removed from the settling tank and burnt outside, while the polluted water is distributed to the pump house. The polluted water is pumped from the pump house to the sprinkler beds, where the purifying water process is taken. At the top of sprinkler bed there are rotating arms which can sprinkle the polluted water into sprinkler bed. The speed of the rotating arm makes the polluted water that flows through become a jet. Then, the jet of polluted water is sprayed of the rotating arms to the brick work. The stones and micro-organisms are filtered in this process. After going through that final process, the purified water is distributed back to enter the river.

TASK 4 SEWAGE WATER DISPOSAL

Technology about water purification was discovered by the human hundreds years ago. One example of water purification technology is sewage disposal unit. Sewage disposal unit is consist of three main parts : settling tank, pump house, and sprinkler beds.In the first of purifying process with sewage disposal unit, sewage is flown to the settling tank from main sewer . In the settling tank, sewage component will be separated in two form. The solid form called undecayed solids will move into the base of settling tank and then will be burned and removed. Next the liquid component called polluted water will be flown into pump house. In the pump house, polluted water will be pumped into sprinkler beds. In the splinker beds polluted water moves to the rotary arm which can directs the polluted water to the filtering zone. In the filtering zone, polluted water will be filtered from microorganism and stones. The result of this filtering process is purified water and will be flown into the river.

Sewage disposal unit works in a simple mechanism. First, sewage from houses, factories, and other places flows through the main sewer to the settling tank. Then the sewage will separated into two forms, the undecayed solid waste and the polluted water. The undecayed solid waste which is settled at the bottom will be removed from the settling tank and burnt outside. Meanwhile, the polluted water is pumped from the pump house to the sprinkler beds. Next process, the polluted water is pumped out to the rotating arms, where polluted water is sprayed to the brick work. The brick work filters the polluted water from stones and micro organisms. The filtered/purified water can be safely flown to the river.

The Incredible Saman Dance

Saman is the most popular dance in Aceh and the dance has become well-known abroad with the name of "Thousand hands". It has its origin from the Alas ethnic group and normally performed to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. and other important occasions. Eight to twenty male performers kneel in a row on the floor and make different kinds of torso movements accompanied by songs, clapping hands, slapping chests, slapping hands on the floor, etc. The songs are praises to Allah or prayers. The dance starts with slow movements and increases its tempo gradually to great speed and finally come to a sudden stop. There are many different regional versions of Saman Dance.

Hot water and cold water is distributed to our house in a simple way. First, cold water is pumped from underground to the house through a main pipe. Then, this main pipe is branched in to three small pipes. Each pipe distributes the water to a specific part of house. The first pipe distributes to a sink in the kitchen, the second pipe distributes to washbasin, toilet, and bath room. The last pipe, distributes the cold water to the heater tank on the upper side of the house. This tank heats the cold water to produce the hot water. Lastly, the hot water is pumped to the sink, washbasin, and bathroom.

NATIONAL MONUMENT


Monumen Nasional (National Monument), commonly known as Monas, is a very famous landmark of Jakarta. Monas becomes famous because of several things. First, it has unique shape of lingga yoni, symbol of fertility on Hindu mythology. Second, this 137 meter height tower has 14.5 ton flame-shaped bronze layered by 35 kg gold on the top. This flame symbolizes the struggle of Indonesia people. Third, Monas is a cheap tourist’s object where visitors can watch diorama of Indonesia’s history inside, and see the beautiful scenery of Jakarta on the highest floor. Fourth, Monas is located at the center of Merdeka Square, strategically in Central Jakarta. So it’s easy to visit this landmark from all areas of Jakarta.

HOME WATER SYSTEM


Actually, water system in a house used hot and cold water is very simple. First, water from main source is pumped into the house through main pipe. This water is called cold water. The main pipe is branched, so some of this water flows directly into sink, toilet, or others appliances, while another flows to main water tank to be kept. Then from this tank, water flow to heater tank. In heater tank, water is processed using electricity to become hot. Next, this hot water flows to washbasin, sink, and other appliances, except to appliances which don’t need hot water in used. Finally, people can choose what water they want to use.

Sewage Disposal Unit

The sewage management system consists of three stages. First, sewage from the main sewer is channeled to a settling tank. In this stage, the sewage is precipitate. After a while, the undecayed solids are left at the bottom of the tank and then the polluted water is distributed to the pump house. Then the pump house pumps the polluted water to the sprinkler bed. The sprinkler bed is a filter of stones and microorganisms, surrounded with brick work on its outer part, and on top of the filter are rotating arms. Polluted water is pumped to the top of the sprinkler bed through the T-shaped pipe and creating jets of polluted water in the air, which then fell to the filter inside the sprinkler bed. The polluted water was here purified. Then the purified water was flown to the river.





Water Distribution System

In the picture we can see a water distribution system in a two-story house. The water distribution in this kind of house is quite simple. Water from the PDAM is pumped to a water tank at the top of the house and then from there the water is distributed throughout the house. The first destination is the kitchen that located on the fist floor. The second is the bathroom’s stuffs on the second floor. The last is the cold water tank that connected to the hot water tank. In the hot water tank, the cold water from the cold water tank will be warmed. When the water is warm enough, the water will be distributed to the bath and wash-basin in the bathroom, and to the sink in the kitchen.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Bangka is Parai Tenggiri Beach. It is one of Bangka Island’s prides. It is located in Sungailiat district. The visitors can find various forms of boulders in this beach, which add its beauty. This beach is very ideal for swimming, sun bathing and relaxing. It also has the most complete facilities in Bangka Island such as luxurious hotels and water sport facilities. The calmness and fresh sea wind will greet the visitors when they arrive there. The beauty of this beach makes the tourists feel comfortable to stay.

Sewage cannot be disposed directly to the sea or river so the water that contains sewage must firstly be purified using a sewage disposal unit. The process in a sewage disposal unit starts with the polluted water being flown to the settling tank through the main sewer. In the settling tank, the undecayed solid is separated from the polluted water and stays on the bottom of the tank where it will then be removed and burned. After that the polluted water is flown to the pump house where it will be pumped to the sprinkle beds. At the top of sprinkler bed there are rotating arms which spray the polluted water that flows through the rotating arms to the filter. The filter is made of bricks at the outer part and contains stones and micro-organism with which the polluted water is purified and finally ready to be directly flown to the sea or river

Methane Extraction from Househod Waste

Extraction Methane

We can make methane gas from our household waste like our pup, garbage, dry branches and leaves, and etc. Firstly, we must put the waste into one kind of tube that we called ‘warming bed’. After we put into the warming bed, the water will be fertilized and the residue from fertilization, which is methane source, will go to the dirt part. In the dirt part, the methane source will be divided into dirty methane gas and the garbage which is no longer contains methane. The garbage can be taken from ‘release cap’ in the bottom of dirt trap. Then, the dirty methane gas will go to ‘gas indicator’. This indicator contains water which will be given with dirty methane gas and then the liquid will be separated into dirty water and methane liquid. Because of the mass difference, the methane liquid in the top of the water and this liquid will flows and divide into two pipes. The first pipes bring the methane liquid into the ‘pressure release’ which contains water. The water in this tube will contain methane liquid and methane gas will be produced when the temperature rising to the methane‘s boil point. The other pipe will bring the methane liquid into the ‘gas holder’ which contain tap so methane liquid can flow.

Working Children

Nowadays, we can see many underage workers in our surrounding. We can see in the streets, and public facilities. Commonly, they work as lift laborer in the market, or as streets beggar. This affair can be happened because family’s economic conditions which can not handle family’s needs so the family’s child must take a job as breadwinner beside father. Even, there is some child who quit from school because they want to maximize their income from their job.

Until now, there are many regulations which forbid the existence of working children in Indonesia. Yet, many people doesn’t know or realize the regulations because lack of socialization to people from government. In addition, government look like do not care to this affair. Irresponsible acts of government can make the future of children forced to work in Indonesia will be just a not coming dreams. Even, they can risk their life because their works is dangerous. Based on sheet from PUBH in 2005, there are 200000 working children have bad injury when do their work, from the entire world.

Now, what we can do to help them are minimalism the amount of underage workers like giving scholarships to children from poor family and giving economic aids to poor family. Government must be responsible and not closed their eyes to this affair because their acts will make international party give our country bad opinion. This problem will ashamed our country in the eyes of international

Water Process in House (task 2)

This is how the water goes to our house. Water from underground is pumped to reach the top of the house. Water goes into the sink and roof where the cold water tank is. Through the pipelines, water is flown to the bath, wash basin, and toilet without any process. From, the cold water tank, water is also flown to the hot water tank to be heated. From this tank, hot water is flown to the sink, wash basin, bath, and toilet. And water is ready to used.

Sewage Disposal Mechanism

Sewage from factory which contains dangerous materials needs some treatment before flown into the river safely. The method to treat the sewage is Sewage Disposal Mechanism. First of all, the sewage will be flown to the main sewer. From the main sewer, the sewage will be flown to the settling tank where the sewage will be separated in two forms. Solid matter which is sediment at the bottom will be removed and burned. Through the pump house, the liquid sewage which means polluted water from the settling tank is flowed to the sprinkler bed. In this bed, water is pumped by the hydraulic and water will reach the surface of the sprinkler bed. Then, water will be rotated by the rotating arm. The polluted water is filtered by contacting stones and microorganism with the water. Finally, this clean water can be flown to the river.

Nowadays we can extract methane gas from household waste with some simple steps. First, the waste from household was accumulated in the warming bed. From this warming bed, the waste will be separated for two kinds of usages, as a fertilizer, which can be used directly without any further process, and as a main material for the methane extraction. For methane extraction, the household waste goes directly to the dirt trap. The dirt trap will cause the methane separated from other contents of the waste. Then, the methane, which is in liquid phase, flows into gas indicator. Here, the methane is checked whether its gas is still produce or not by seeing the bubbles in water. After that, the methane gas flows into two pipes. The first pipe distributes the gas to a pressure release tank in order to decrease the pressure of gas, while another pipe distributes the gas to the inner tubes (with weight on the top of it) in order to increase the pressure of the gas. At the end of this pipe, there is a tap which controls the output of the extracted methane gas. Methane that comes out from this tap is ready to use.
