Sewage Disposal Unit

Sewage disposal unit works in a simple mechanism. First, sewage from houses, factories, and other places flows through the main sewer to the settling tank. Then the sewage will separated into two forms, the undecayed solid waste and the polluted water. The undecayed solid waste which is settled at the bottom will be removed from the settling tank and burnt outside. Meanwhile, the polluted water is pumped from the pump house to the sprinkler beds. Next process, the polluted water is pumped out to the rotating arms, where polluted water is sprayed to the brick work. The brick work filters the polluted water from stones and micro organisms. The filtered/purified water can be safely flown to the river.

The Incredible Saman Dance

Saman is the most popular dance in Aceh and the dance has become well-known abroad with the name of "Thousand hands". It has its origin from the Alas ethnic group and normally performed to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. and other important occasions. Eight to twenty male performers kneel in a row on the floor and make different kinds of torso movements accompanied by songs, clapping hands, slapping chests, slapping hands on the floor, etc. The songs are praises to Allah or prayers. The dance starts with slow movements and increases its tempo gradually to great speed and finally come to a sudden stop. There are many different regional versions of Saman Dance.

Hot Water and Cold Water Supplies

Hot water and cold water is distributed to our house in a simple way. First, cold water is pumped from underground to the house through a main pipe. Then, this main pipe is branched in to three small pipes. Each pipe distributes the water to a specific part of house. The first pipe distributes to a sink in the kitchen, the second pipe distributes to washbasin, toilet, and bath room. The last pipe, distributes the cold water to the heater tank on the upper side of the house. This tank heats the cold water to produce the hot water. Lastly, the hot water is pumped to the sink, washbasin, and bathroom.

NATIONAL MONUMENT


Monumen Nasional (National Monument), commonly known as Monas, is a very famous landmark of Jakarta. Monas becomes famous because of several things. First, it has unique shape of lingga yoni, symbol of fertility on Hindu mythology. Second, this 137 meter height tower has 14.5 ton flame-shaped bronze layered by 35 kg gold on the top. This flame symbolizes the struggle of Indonesia people. Third, Monas is a cheap tourist’s object where visitors can watch diorama of Indonesia’s history inside, and see the beautiful scenery of Jakarta on the highest floor. Fourth, Monas is located at the center of Merdeka Square, strategically in Central Jakarta. So it’s easy to visit this landmark from all areas of Jakarta.

HOME WATER SYSTEM


Actually, water system in a house used hot and cold water is very simple. First, water from main source is pumped into the house through main pipe. This water is called cold water. The main pipe is branched, so some of this water flows directly into sink, toilet, or others appliances, while another flows to main water tank to be kept. Then from this tank, water flow to heater tank. In heater tank, water is processed using electricity to become hot. Next, this hot water flows to washbasin, sink, and other appliances, except to appliances which don’t need hot water in used. Finally, people can choose what water they want to use.
