Bandung, My Hometown

Bandung, my hometown, is a very interesting place that you can visit. If you like shopping, you should go to Dago and Cihampelas. In Dago and Cihampelas there are so many factory outlets and 'distro', which apparently attracted many Jakarta people who like to shop. This kind of shop is famous because the price is cheap. If you went to Dago, you will see cafes also. The famous one, such as Sierra and Valley, is located in the upper part of Dago. These café is famous because you can see a beautiful view of Bandung and eat very delicious food at the same time. The air is cold and fresh, because there is no factory near by and very limited number of cars there, just like Bandung in the old days.

Another place that you can visit is Lembang. Lembang is located a little bit outside the Bandung city. It is famous for the cold air, which is perfect for villas, or just when you want some time out of the city. Lembang is also famous for the cow’s milk, baked sticky rice, and also the strawberry plantation. In the strawberry plantation you can pick and eat any strawberry you want for some amount of money that you have to pay. You can also eat some food which its main ingredient is strawberry. This strawberry plantation is the most recent thing that cause more and more tourist come to Bandung. Bandung is also famous for the tea plantation and the mountains such as Tangkuban Perahu and Kawah Putih. Bandung has a lot of mountains, because Bandung is a city that is surrounded by mountains.

Bandung is also famous for the schools, especially college that we have here. In Ciumbeluit we have Parahyangan Catholic University, which is famous for the accounting and architecture. Maranatha Christian University, which is located in Pasteur, is famous for the medicine and design and last but not least is ITB or Institute Technology Bandung. Just like its name, ITB is famous for the technique.

This is just a few of interesting places that you can find in Bandung. Of course Bandung has a lot of other things that are interesting too such as the foods we have here and also the people.
