The reason why it is so popular is because its historical value and also its unique name. The “satay” name was taken from Indonesian traditional food called satay. Satay is the combination of several meats that stuck in one stick in one row. The building is called satay building because there is a statue at the top of the building that has a similar shape with satay. Although the satay building is an old building, it’s still being used by Indonesian government until now as a government office.

Task 2

How does the water reach the crane?

Water in our house is originally located in the deep of the soil surface. It’s about 10 – 25 meters depth. The water can reach the surface and then being used by people is because of the water pump. When the water reaches the surface, then it flows through pipes into many cranes in the house. The water is used by people to do many activities like washing clothes, cleaning dishes, and shower. When people need hot water, they need water heater. When the cold water from the pump reaches the surface, then it flows through the pipe into the water heater. At the water heater, the cold water is boiled by some kind of stove. After the boiling process, the hot water flows again to the crane. Then the hot water is used by people to do their activities.
